Product description:

Founded in 2015 by Xi Huang, a distinguished MFA graduate and valedictorian of the China Academy of Art (with direct postgraduate admission), 1 Inch & 10 Miles is a designer studio rooted in the legacy of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. Huangs award-winning works have been exhibited globally and are held in the permanent collection of the National Museum of China.

Specializing in traditional fine metal craftsmanship- including metal weaving, chainmail, metal folding, inlay, hand-forging, repoussIJ, and wax carving- the studio embodies a philosophy of slow, handcrafted artistry. Their designs harmonize understated elegance with natural simplicity, weaving the lyrical spirit of classical Chinese poetry and literati painting into contemporary forms.

At the intersection of heritage and modernity, the studio reinterprets Eastern aesthetics through minimalist silhouettes. Each piece celebrates the soulful precision of ancient techniques while evoking the quiet grace and poetic restraint of Oriental artistry. Here, tradition is not merely preserved- it is whispered anew in metal, where delicate details carry the weight of culture and the lightness of timeless beauty.

Care Rituals:

  1. Handle with Care
Silver is a delicate metal—avoid sharp impacts or rough handling. Highly polished surfaces may develop scratches if subjected to abrasion.

  2. Shield from Chemicals
Protect your jewelry from direct contact with perfumes, lotions, detergents, and other chemicals, as they  accelerate tarnishing or damage finishes.

  3. Keep Dry
Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, or intense physical activity. Moisture and prolonged exposure to air can hasten oxidation.

  4. Store Thoughtfully
When not in use, seal your pieces in an airtight pouch or jewelry box to minimize air exposure and slow tarnishing.

  5. Restore with Ease
Should oxidation occur, gently polish with a silver-cleaning cloth or cream to revive its original luster.
